An HSE Action Plan is a document that outlines a set of goals, objectives, and targets and how they are going to be achieved within a given timeframe. The purpose of an HSE action plan is to set the road map for improving performance in the organization within a specified timeframe. This is normally developed following a workplace accident, past incident trends, audit findings, management reviews, client feedback, just to mention a few to determine the health and safety priorities in an organization.

As per best practice, an HSE action plan must be develop at the beginning of every year in consultation with the key stakeholders such as top management, key process owners, and employees to set relevant goals, objectives, targets, and the actions which will be driven by the persons responsible to improve health and safety performance.

SHEQXEL HSSE Action Plan is a template designed to help users to set up their Annual HSSE Action Plan using a structured format to set goals based on their key focus areas, set objectives, actions, and targets, and identify key persons responsible, set timelines for those actions and follow up on progress to generate progress reports. The features of this template include

The Approved List is where the user sets their approved HSSE focus and their completion targets, usually 100%. 10 out of the HSSE focus will automatically represent on the Progress Dashboard.

The Dashboard; Progress dashboard is made up of target stacked bar charts that feature each HSSE focus and a single progress chart for the overall progress of the HSSE Action Plan. 

Various Reports; are three other sheets that comprise pivot tables and graphs that provide a progress report of the HSSE focus areas; objectives; and actions and their percentage completions, which users can easily use to quickly send as report during meetings or to their top management.

After every complete entry, users can generate a report by going to the Data tab on the menu and clicking on Refresh All. The pre-designed nature makes it plug and play.
