SHEQXEL Employee Performance Appraisal Tool is a simple template for conducting appraisal of employee performance based on a set of KPIs to ascertain their technical and behavioural competence for the purpose of competence development.
The features include;
Performance Ranking from 1 to 5 based on ratings of unacceptable, needs improvement, achieved expectations, exceeded expectations and achieved excellence Strongly Disagree to estimate points and scores for a set of KPIs to demonstrate the employee’s technical competence and behavioral competence.
Appraisal Form is the main source data where users must sets their KPIs as agreed with HR and heads of department under two main areas of technical and behavioral competence and can assign weightings which must total up to to 100% for gathering responses from the employees to estimate an overall point indicative of the employee’s performance. All ratings are conditionally formatted to display red, amber, orange, green and blue. Any unacceptable and needs improvement response automatically signals an alert for the assessor to provide an explanation.
Appraisal Summary show a summary of all the points and scores for the two main categories of the appraisal i.e technical competence and behavioral competence and the overall score to be utilized for generating graphical representation of employee performance as per the appraisal of a single employee. This sheet is protected and locked as it built with sensitive excel formulas to automate the population of report. There is no need for users to tamper with this sheet due to the automation.
Action plan automatically populates the unacceptable and needs improvement responses together with their explanations for completing an action plan in terms of development action, assigning responsible person to close the action and providing action priority, action deadlines to automatically estimate days due or overdue. The sheet has a slicer for filtering out the blanks.
Dashboard is dynamic and beautifully made of progress bar chart to represent the scores, bar chart for the responses and progress circle chart to represent the overall audit score indicative of employee performance.
Other Reports include employee performance showing the appraisal scores under the two categories and action status which gives a graphical overview of actions opened and close, which were utilized for the dashboard. Users are free to use them for their own internal reporting rather than the dashboard.
It is simply a Microsoft excel file hence no installation is required and can run on both Windows and Mac and compatible with Microsoft Excel 2013 (+ Later Versions)
